Hmm, yeah, it's my birthday today. I think this is a valid excuse for not writing a long post today.

If someone gets me one of these, I'll love them forever.
Everyone has a birthday, so if you think about it, it's not really something to be that excited by. It does happen every year, after all. It's not like by having a birthday you're super cool.
In fact, yeah it does. Here's some super cool birthday tunes to go with your super cool birthday (whenever you have it).
And of course, where would a birthday be without the classics from SingingBirthdayCard.com?
"Punk Birthday" sounds uncannily like Groovie Ghoulies. Maybe they're earning some extra cash from SingingBirthdayCard.com?
Buy me a birthday present
The Beatles
The Veils
Sound Team
The Smiths
...or, just get me a singing birthday card.

. I'd be happy to feature your band! Just write me a quick note saying what type of music you play, maybe a link to your website/MySpace, and include a link to a few downloadable songs if you can (submissions without samples are usually disregarded).

First things first: HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Second things second: did you know you have changed my life? Yesterday I bought the Smiths shirt on ebay that said Drink Drink Drink and Be Ill Tonight for 30 bucks and then regreted it greatly. I thought maybe I should have just gotten the cheaper Franky Mr Shankly tshirt. And you were my sign that I have made the right decision. This song was my first on the watchlist on hypemachine.

What a nice comment! Thank you very much for the birthday wishes, I had a great day.
It's nice to know that my somewhat self-centered birthday post helped you out! Interestingly, I wasn't originally going to include The Smiths, as I thought including Unhappy Birthday would be weird seeing as it should be a happy day. Turns out it's a good thing I did include it after all!
Thanks a lot for the comment, and enjoy the new shirt.
Jon
how about nofx new happy birthday song, or the vandals happy birthday to me or even the aforementioned groovie ghoulies happy birthday song, anyway whatever you end up listening to enjoy the day and do everything the government say is bad for you, twice.

I was planning on sticking those up, but I've made it known before that I'm a fan of the blog, "Battle Of The Midwestern Housewives," the author of which used those songs in their own birthday mix. Therefore I didn't use those songs out of fear for being criticized for plagiarism or the likes...
Anyway, thanks for the birthday wishes, and don't worry, the government will get no mindless obedience from me.
Thanks for the mention, Jon (and the links)! Let me take care of that belated Singing Birthday Card for you. And feel free to share it with your readers.
By the way, who DOESN'T love Birthday by The Beatles?!
I would like you to dance.
(Birthday) Take a cha-cha-cha-chance.
