I'm sure we've all heard by now about the "top secret" documents that were left on the train by some absent-minded civil servant. Apparently these documents contained a lot of info about al-Qaida and stuff. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: our government is stupid. It appears to me that they seem to have a habit of mislaying important stuff. A while ago they lost a CD containing all our information didn't they? Our taxes paid for that CD - the last thing they should be doing is losing it. Admitedly a data CD only costs about 50p, but that still makes 0.0000008p per person in Britain, which if you ask me is a lot of money to be throwing around.
What I find funny is that these lost documents actually had "secret" written on them. This isn't really the best security tactic. If I were on a train and found a file full of documents marked secret, the last thing I would do is think "It's secret, better not read." I would immediately give them a look, as that's a natural reaction - something's secret, you want to know.
Maybe Gordon and his team of monkeys are just playing a game of "lose as many stuff as possible and still claim we're doing a good job of running the country." That must be it.

. I'd be happy to feature your band! Just write me a quick note saying what type of music you play, maybe a link to your website/MySpace, and include a link to a few downloadable songs if you can (submissions without samples are usually disregarded).
